Initially, we tackled the limitations of the Ranch Systems RS 130/330 Telemetry devices which, while effective, didn’t fully meet the demands of cranberry operations, especially during critical times like frost management. These devices often relied too heavily on cloud-based control, which was not always practical in the remote and sometimes connectivity-challenged cranberry beds of central Wisconsin.

Kevin Nutt, with his expertise, developed TMON-Ranch in collaboration with Ranch Systems. This solution allowed for more localized control, ensuring critical operations could be managed directly at the source without dependency on external servers.

Expanding Horizons with TMON-Python: As cellular services evolved and, at times, disappeared without warning, we realized the need for a more versatile system. Enter TMON-Python, an advanced iteration that leverages multiple communication channels – cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth. By focusing on the real-world challenges faced in cranberry farming, TMON-Python doesn’t just adapt; it anticipates.
